Epiroc is seeking a Junior Electronic Engineer to join its innovative Research & Development team in Centurion. In this role, you’ll support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems and components while working closely with senior engineers. The position provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge digital safety technologies used in the mining and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing electronic circuits, systems, and prototypes
• Support schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection
• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of electronic systems under supervision
• Participate in prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and documentation
• Maintain lab equipment and support continuous improvement in design processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, and production)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or academic projects considered)
• Familiarity with lab testing and measurement equipment (Oscilloscopes, multimeters) advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• A growth mindset and eagerness to learn
